District contracts are made for the revaluation of certain neighborhoods. Neighborhoods with a contract are given the necessary resources for these actions, that happen in cooperation with the inhabitants.
The Brussels Capital Region generates a list of districts eligible for this program. These district contracts consist of 5 parts. During the whole process, the participation of the inhabitants is important.
Several districts of Brussels enjoy these programs with a duration of 4 years.

In the context of the sustainable district contract Jardin aux Fleurs - Bloemenhof the City holds two project calls for citizens (2012, 2013 and 2014). For the second edition (2013) it proposes the project call 'Aux Arbres Citoyens' with grants for local residents and associations from the Jardin aux Fleurs perimeter: 500 euro for individual projects, to 2,500 euro for joint projects (groups of residents, associations and schools).
