Change of address

You are moving from another municipality to the territory of the City of Brussels? Or you are moving within the territory of the City of Brussels?

Coronavirus measures: the counters are open from Monday to Thursday (no permanence on Thursday evenings). Change of address requests can be made:

People who do not have internet or need help can also request a change of address by post: Demography - Population Service, Boulevard Anspach 6 - 1000 Brussels.

You have to report your new address within eight working days after your actual installation, in order to be registered or to have your address adjusted on the chip of your electronic ID card or residence card.

Rate

  • 6 euros to pay at the counter or when the change of address is made on your electronic ID card or residence card (payment preferably by Bancontact)
