Nurseries of the City of Brussels

Information on municipal nurseries can be obtained at the free number: 0800 17 071. This number also has to be used for registrations.

The City of Brussels has French-language and Dutch-language nurseries. The nurseries are subjected to regulations. According to the Community to which the nursery chooses to belong, these regulations count either from the Birth and Childhood Office, or from Kind en Gezin.

From the age of 6 weeks, a child can spend his days in a nursery, until the age of 3 years.

The daily price rate will be fixed according to the incomes of the parents. Invoices will be settled every month.

Before the entry of the child, it will be necessary to pay a pledge, as well as a fixed participation for the 1st month.

The daily price will be fixed according to the monthly household income, both in the French-language and the Dutch-language nurseries.

French-language nurseries

For the French-speaking day nurseries, tables allow to determine the price list at the website of the Birth and Childhood Office (ONE).

Dutch-language nurseries

For Dutch-language nurseries, a simulation of the rate is available at the site of Kind and Gezin.

The inscriptions vary according to the differences between the Dutch-language and French-language nurseries.

Parents can register a child in a Dutch-language nursery after the pregnancy has been determined.
