100 years of Toots Thielemans

From 10 May to 5 July 2022, at the Stalingrad quarter.

In 2022, Brussels celebrates the 100th birthday of Toots Thielemans (1922-2016). This centenary is the occasion for a whole series of events and festivities.

Jazz concerts

In May and June, a series of 9 concerts will be organised around the metro station yard that will be named after this music legend of Brussels. Oriental Jazz and Bossa Nova Jazz concerts are being held in the various restaurants and cafés of the Stalingrad quarter. All concerts are free of charge.

Toots Thielemans exhibition

The exhibition In the footsteps of Toots Thielemans lets you (re)discover his life around the construction site on the Avenue de Stalingrad. A series of panels highlight his childhood, between the Marolles and Molenbeek, his first steps in music, his emigration to the United States and his return to Belgium.
