Advisory Council for International Solidarity
The Municipal Advisory Council for International Solidarity is a council recognized by the City of Brussels dedicated to issues concerning development cooperation and education.
This Council met for the first time in May, 2001. Its statutes (PDF, 63.86 KB) were approved by the City Council of 17 December 2001 and changed on 21 October 2013.
The main mission of this Council is supplying information, educational activities, raising awareness, the destination of subsidies, the development of partnerships with Kinshasa or Morocco,... The council members also realize actions for development cooperation.
The CCSI consists of 24 associations
The statutes (PDF, 63.86 KB) of the CCSI foresee:
- a representative of the various Brussels organizations located on the territory of the City committed to development and that endorse the vision of the Council
- experts and citizens who are committed to development and that endorse the vision of the council
- the chairman, appointed by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, may be represented by his deputy
