The project consists of the redesign of the area around the new Brucity building (Hallenstraat, Zwarte Lievevrouwstraat, Visverkopersstraat, Augustijnenstraat, and parts of Kiekenmarkt, Lakensestraat, Sint-Katelijneplein, and Bisschopsstraat) with the aim of better connecting the different neighbourhoods and creating a homogeneous whole.
The entire project will take 1.5 years. These works are divided into several phases:

Two days of asphalting works (Van Artevelde, Poissonniers, Vierge Noire, Laeken axis)
- Tuesday 27 August: Van Artevelde-Melsens axis closed
- Wednesday 28 August: Melsens-Laeken axis closed
From 1 September 2024, the Van Artevelde, Poissonniers, Vierge Noire, Laeken axis will reopen to all traffic.
The STIB and De Lijn lines will resume their route prior to the works.
