Bockstael station renovation

The SNCB Bockstael station in Laeken will be completely renovated with the aim of creating an intermodal pole and improving the station's accessibility. The public enquiry runs from 7 September to 6 October 2022.

In the new project, the station will be accessible above ground via stairs or a lift at the intersection of the Boulevard Emile Bockstael and the Rue du Champ de la Couronne (Kroonveldstraat). The covered entrance to the station will be integrated with the STIB and De Lijn bus station.

A bicycle shed with 20 spaces will be built next to the train station. To make room for this, 5 parking spaces will be removed at the Rue du Champ de la Couronne. The train station platforms will be raised to improve accessibility for people with reduced mobility.
