Bonus for a refrigerator A, B or C

A refrigerator consumes a lot of energy. If it is worn or just old, the refrigerator is often the main expense on the electricity bills of a family.

The A, B or C classes (from less to more efficient) of fridges consume much less energy, but there price is still high.

Therefore, the City of Brussels offers an environmental bonus for the purchase of a refrigerator A, B or C (most efficient models on the market).

For low-income households

This bonus is reserved for low-income households (income less than or equal to 35,782.80 euros per year for a single person or 50,782.80 euros per year for a married or legally cohabiting couple).

Amount of the bonus?

The amount of the municipal contribution is set at 400 euros, with a bonus of 100 euros for families of 4 persons. It is limited to 50% of the amount on the purchase invoice of the refrigerator (Recupel contribution included).

How to apply?

Please fill in the application form and send it, with the necessary supporting documents and dated and signed. This has to be done within 3 months from the date of the purchase invoice of the refrigerator.

The regulation and form are only available in Dutch and French.
