Coronavirus measures

The City of Brussels has taken several decisions in order to best respect the measures of the federal government in the fight against the coronavirus (Covid-19). More info: coronavirus measures by the City of Brussels.

Booking a place for a move, delivery or container(s)

In case of move or an important delivery, it is often necessary to have a place on the public road network.

Please note that the reservation request must be submitted at least 4 working days in advance. If you require an Osiris license or an authorization for a container (see form (PDF, 299.00 KB)), you must submit the request for a parking ban at least 15 working days in advance.

A 'standard' place can go up to 30 metres. If the applicant needs a bigger place, he will have to ask for a personalized estimate.

This booking must be made at the Technical Traffic Service of the police zone via the parking ban form (PDF, 299.00 KB):

Attention: if you move to the pedestrian zone or use the pedestrian zone for your move, you need a pass.

Price and payment

The price for a booking for 1 day is 114,03 euro. For every extra day a sum of 14,87 euro is added.

The payment cannot be made in cash. During the booking of the place, the applicant receives the account number of the City so that he can make the payment (by transfer for example).

Proof of booking

The applicant also receives a document proving that he reserved a place.

If he discovers that other vehicles are parked on his reserved place, he may call the police (101 or 112), which will send a patrol as soon as possible.

The applicant can also file a complaint to try to get back the time and money lost because of the wait (for example the delay taken by the removal).

It is strictly forbidden to surround a place by means of chairs, palettes or other objects. That is an offence against the Highway Code and the General police regulations.
