Campaign. Respect disabled parking spaces!

Disabled people too often find out that a parking space that is normally reserved for them is occupied by another vehicle. To make careless drivers aware of the problem, Brussels Mobility launches the 'Respect' campaign.

Brussels has 940,000 parking spaces, of which 265,000 are on public roads. Hardly 4,000 of these are reserved for people with disabilities.

If you occupy one of those places, even if only for five minutes, you make it even more difficult for people with disabilities. So show respect and keep the reserved parking spaces free. The places are marked with a blue rectangle and the icon of a wheelchair. Sometimes the icon is also painted on the ground in white.

If you do not respect these signs, you risk a fine of 116 euros.
