Coronavirus measures

The City of Brussels has taken several decisions in order to best respect the measures of the federal government in the fight against the coronavirus (Covid-19). Please note: at the Administrative Centre & liaison offices, all citizens are asked to come alone, maximum 15 minutes before the appointment time, wear a face mask (obligatory) and disinfect their hands.

 

Coronalert application

The Coronalert application is an initiative of the Belgian authorities. This free app for your mobile phone is an additional tool in the fight against the coronavirus (Covid-19).

Users of the Coronalert app:

  • find out if they have been in close contact with another Coronalert user who tested positive for the coronavirus, without knowing who it is
  • anonymously warn their close contacts when they themselves test positive for the coronavirus
  • together ensure faster contact tracing
  • help to stop spreading the virus

Privacy

Coronalert never contains information about:

  • your identity
  • the people you have met
  • the locations you visited
  • people who test positive for the coronavirus
