Culture tickets for seniors

The City of Brussels gives Brussels seniors free tickets for various cultural performances. The programme will be presented on Tuesday 12 September 2023, from 2 pm to 4:45 pm, at he City Hall of Brussels.

These tickets allow the persons who:

  • are at least 65 years and
  • have their residence on the territory of the City of Brussels (postal codes 1000 - 1020 - 1120 - 1130)

to attend a play or performance of their choice in the following theatres:

Please note: for the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie it is only one performance: on Saturday 27 April 2024 at 2 pm, the preview of the opera The Turn of the Screw.

All seniors are entitled to one coupon that is valid for two people for 1 show at 1 place of their choice, as long as there are places available.

How to get tickets?

Applications can only be submitted using the application form below (with copy of your ID card):

There will also be a presentation on Tuesday 12 September 2023, from 2 pm to 4:45 pm, in the Gothic Hall of the City Hall of Brussels. The different programmes will be presented there. On the programme:

  • Welcome with coffee
  • Meeting with the theatres over a drink

It will also be possible to fill in the form at the City Hall after the presentation.

Applications are processed in order of receipt (the postmark or date of receipt of the e-mail serves as proof). The Culture Service will answer the requests as best as possible and contact everyone (by e-mail or by post) to confirm the chosen location based on preference and availability.

The confirmation will be accompanied by all necessary information.

Places are only available at our partner institutions, after reservation.

This initiative is in addition to the permanent senior discount that already exists in the cultural centres of the City.
