On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the First World War (1914-1918), the Museum of the City of Brussels holds an exhibition about life in Brussels during the German occupation.

The aim is to compare the lifes of the inhabitants of Brussels to that of inhabitants of major German cities. The exhibition will feature many unusual and compelling documents and objects such as caricatures.

The pieces on display are from the Archives and a number of German institutions. A call for donations in October 2013 also lead to some extraordinary pieces.
