Exhibition. Renaissance of a unique masterpiece
This event has already passed
From 12 December 2015 to 30 April 2017 at the Museum of the City of Brussels (Maison du Roi).
The City Museum of Brussels has an extraordinary work of art: a huge drawing of 3m40 to 3m80 of the Martyrdom of St. Paul (16th century).
This gigantic fresco paper is a reflection of the life and concerns of an era in motion: the Renaissance. It is attributed to the Flemish painter Pieter Coecke. Now, the tapestry carton undergoes a thorough restoration in the museum. The public will be able to follow this restoration in the museum.
