Help for tenants and traders of the Property Management and CPAS

The Property Management Agency (Régie Foncière) and the Public Welfare Centre (CPAS-OCMW) of the City of Brussels are helping their tenants (traders and residential) during this difficult period of the coronavirus (Covid-19). For example, there will be various measures such as exemption from rent and allowances. An overview of the emergency plan.

I am a commercial tenant

  • Exemption from rent for April and May
  • Payment deferment of the June rent
  • Deferred rents are due in 2021 + installment plan
  • CPAS - commercial tenants: a temporary 15% reduction in the rental price from 1 June 2020 to 31 March 2021, provided that the trader can demonstrate through the VAT return a loss of income of at least 15% compared to the same period in 2019.

I am a tenant of a cafe/restaurant (horeca) or a business in a sector that is still closed

  • Exemption from rent for April, May and June
  • Payment deferment of the July rent
  • Deferred rents are due in 2021 + installment plan
  • CPAS - horeca: a temporary reduction of 25% on the rent from 1 July 2020 to 31 March 2021, provided that the trader can demonstrate a loss of income of at least 15% compared to the same period in 2019 via the VAT return.
