Honoring of Remco Evenepoel at the Grand-Place

On Sunday 2 October 2022, from 3 pm, at the Grand-Place in Brussels.

The City of Brussels and the municipality of Dilbeek will pay tribute to cyclist Remco Evenepoel, who won the Vuelta and the world championships.

The External site honoring starts in Dilbeek, part of which is Schepdaal, the village where Evenepoel grew up. A family parade of hundreds of cyclists will leave there at 2 pm. Remco Evenepoel will take his place in the front vehicle that will ride ahead of the peloton all the way to the Grand-Place of Brussels.

Celebration at the Grand-Place

The ceremony will then continue at the Grand-Place of Brussels:

  • 14h. DJ set
  • 15h. Arrival of the parade of cyclists on the Grand-Place
  • 15h30-15h45. Appearance of Evenepoel on the balcony of the City Hall
