New Climate Plan

The City of Brussels is updating its Climate Plan with the aim of being carbon neutral by 2050. To achieve this, it wants to work with the citizens.

Many examples and solutions can have a direct effect on the daily life of residents in the fight against climate change:

  • preventing heat stress in summer by making a communal area greener or improving water management
  • reducing waste by building collective compost sites
  • reducing costs by purchasing energy together with the neighbors, by recycling, exchanging
  • ...

How to contribute to the Climate Plan?

Last year, a broad participation process started that mainly gauged the concerns and recommendations of the inhabitants of Brussels with regard to environmental problems. Now the City wants to deepen this dialogue with the actors in the field by proposing to them to take a strategic place in this process.
