​Coronavirus measures

The City of Brussels has taken several decisions in order to best respect the measures of the federal government in the fight against the coronavirus (Covid-19). Please note: at the Administrative Centre & liaison offices, all citizens are asked to come alone, maximum 15 minutes before the appointment time, wear a face mask (obligatory) and disinfect their hands.

 

New Climate Plan: citizen meetings

The City of Brussels is updating its Climate Plan with the aim of being carbon neutral by 2050. To achieve this, it wants to work with the citizens to determine the climate priorities for each neighborhood.

Many examples and solutions can have a direct effect on the daily life of residents in the fight against climate change:

  • preventing heat stress in summer by making a communal area greener or improving water management
  • reducing waste by building collective compost sites
  • reducing costs by purchasing energy together with the neighbors, by recycling, exchanging
  • ...

Citizen meetings

In June 2021, a citizen participation process takes place in the various neighborhoods. Everyone can become acquainted with the initiatives of the citizens and the City and decide on solutions in the fight against climate change:
