Coronavirus measures

The City of Brussels has taken several decisions in order to best respect the measures of the federal government in the fight against the coronavirus (Covid-19). Please note: at the Administrative Centre & liaison offices, all citizens are asked to come alone, maximum 15 minutes before the appointment time, wear a face mask (obligatory) and disinfect their hands.

Street art at ULB walls

Together with the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), the City of Brussels inaugurated the work of Gola Hundun on the facade of the Solbosch Campus building H (Avenue Franklin Roosevelt 50). The Italian artist is the winner of a project call launched in May 2017 as part of the Street Art trail.

New street art walk in the centre

As part of its Street Art trail, the City of Brussels has inaugurated 13 miniature images of Spanish artist Isaac Cordal. These statues now decorate different facades in the city centre around the Bourse.

New apartments for seniors at the Marolles

The Property Management Agency of the City of Brussels has inaugurated 39 new homes at the Marolles (Rue Haute 193).

Bockstael

Plastic bags forbidden on markets

Since 1 September 2017, plastic disposable bags are forbidden on the markets of the City of Brussels (Zero plastic campaign). This measure, which is part of a regional regulation, was previously applicable to the largest markets in the City, at the Chaussée d'Anvers and Bockstael.

The Property Management Agency of the City of Brussels inaugurated 31 new homes at the Tour & Taxis site: the Gloria Residence at the Rue Picard.

New market at the Rue de Wand

New market at the Rue de Wand

Since 1 September 2017, a new market is installed at the Rue de Wand in Laeken, each Friday from 2 pm to 7 pm. On Friday 8 September, besides the offer of regular sellers, there is also a 'Herbes de Bruxelles' stand with a wide range of herbs, medicinal plants and edible flowers.
