This event has already passed

On Friday 20 April 2018, from 4 pm to 10 pm, the City of Brussels officially inaugurates a new Espace S or meeting centre for seniors: Rotonde 58 in Laeken.

Sixty years after Expo 58, the Rotonde 58 is now becoming a 'senior-friendly' meeting centre. This Rotonde, which had been neglected since the 2000s, was looking for a new destination. The City, owner of the building, decided to transform the building into a new space for seniors.

On the program of the inauguration (PDF, 2.82 MB):

  • 16h. Events around the Rotonde (majorettes, fanfares, folk games,...)
  • 18h30. Official inauguration
  • 19h. 'Bal populaire', music, dance
  • Tastings, offered by 'Senior Friendly' restaurants
  • Photo exhibition (portraits of expo visitors with their story)
