Coronavirus measures

The City of Brussels has taken several decisions in order to best respect the measures of the federal government in the fight against the coronavirus (Covid-19). More info: coronavirus measures by the City of Brussels.

Parking fees only received at home

Since 1 November 2019, drivers parking their car in the City of Brussels without paying receive their fees at home, instead of behind their windscreen wiper. In this way, fees go directly to the owner of the car and can no longer be blown away or lost.

Drivers who have not paid in a paying zone, have not set their parking disc or have placed it incorrectly, or who do not have a valid resident card and whose violation is determined by a scan car received their fee already at home. Since 1 November 2019, fees issued by the parking stewards are added.

Parking fines - when someone violates traffic law due to wrong parking - issued by police officers are being delivered by mail already.
