The telephone call centre of the City is currently experiencing technical failures. It is therefore sometimes difficult to contact the various services by phone. You can still request your documents online and on the citizen portal External site MyBXL, or make an appointment.

 

Demand of a pass for the Car Free Sunday 2022

A pass for the Car Free Sunday of 18 September 2022 can be delivered to persons who make the demand. Attention, this demand of dispensation must be duly motivated. 

During the Car Free Sunday, the whole Brussels Region will be closed for traffic from 9:30 am till 7 pm.

A pass for the Car Free Sunday can be asked for special deliveries, emergency services, medical reasons...

1. Online form for private persons and self-employed

  • For individuals living in the City of Brussels (postal codes: 1000, 1020, 1120, 1130, and some 1040 and 1050)
  • For individuals who live outside the Brussels Capital Region and who have to go to the territory of the City of Brussels (postal codes: 1000, 1020, 1120, 1130, and some 1040 and 1050)
  • For self-employed persons (medical sector, locksmith,...) living in the City of Brussels or outside the Brussels Capital Region and heading to the territory of the City of Brussels (postal codes: 1000, 1020, 1120, 1130, and some 1040 and 1050)

> Only via the online form (in French) from 8 August 2022 to 9 September 2022 (at noon)

From Monday to Wednesday from 8:30 am to 3:15 pm, Thursday from 8:30 am to 6:15 pm and Friday from 8:30 am to 12:15 pm

  • Private persons living in the Brussels Capital Region but a municipality other than the City of Brussels and who need a pass must apply at their External site municipality
  • Private persons who do not live in the Brussels Capital Region and who need a pass must apply at the External site municipality of their destination

2. Online form for companies

Companies should apply for the total of their staff. They have to apply at the municipality where the company is located (even if the staff member lives in another Brussels municipality).

Attention! The City of Brussels does not manage the applications for the staff of the following companies:

  • STIB (applications at Public affairs - STIB)
  • SNCB - NMBS (and Infrabel) (requests at the municipality of Anderlecht (1070) and the municipality of Saint-Gilles (1060))
  • Proximus, RTBF, VRT and RTL (requests at the municipality of Schaerbeek (1030))

> For companies located on the territory of the City of Brussels: only via the online form (in French) from 25 July to 9 September 2022 (at noon).

  • the 'pass' is valid on the whole territory of the Brussels Region
  • the 'pass' is only valid for the authorized route and hours

The demands for 'diplomatic missions' and 'international organizations established in Belgium' have to be send to SPF Foreign Affairs (Protocol Service). More info at External site diplomatie.belgium.be.
