The City of Brussels has taken several decisions in order to best respect the measures of the federal government in the fight against the coronavirus (Covid-19). More info: coronavirus measures by the City of Brussels. Please note: at the Administrative Centre & liaison offices, all citizens are asked to come alone, maximum 15 minutes before the appointment time, wear a face mask (obligatory) and disinfect their hands.

Pedestrian zone? Julien's team answers all your questions

Since November 2015, a team of the City of Brussels answers all questions about the pedestrian zone and the reconstruction of the central avenues.

This single point of contact for all matters around the pedestrian zone gives coordinated responses to all types of questions, not just on urban planning, mobility and trade.

One contact

The email address was created for this purpose, referring to the Manneken-Pis (Le Petit Julien) and the postal code of Brussels. The address is the gateway for anyone with questions about the pedestrian zone and the ongoing reconstruction of it.

In less than a year, responses were given to nearly 150 different persons. Almost a third were traders, 20% were locals. Students, tourists and people working in the zone have contacted the service as well.

Julien, on the grounds

The members who currently make up the team are also on-site at meetings of the district committees and the concessionnaires, or they visit traders who request it.
