Project. Public computer rooms

What is it about?

A public computer room is a public space with Internet and ICT trainings and Internet access. In Brussels, some places were specifically established as public computer rooms, such as Brusurf, Double Click (CPAS of Brussels) and Bravvo (City Prevention Service). Other computer rooms can be found at public libraries (Riches Claires, Laeken, Adolphe Max), a meeting place for seniors (Point S Lips) and a job service (Job House):

What purpose?

These public computer rooms are designed to reduce the digital gap in access and usage. Different courses, depending on the location, are offered, such as surfing and searching on Internet, email, multimedia, content creation on the web (websites, blogs), and other training, workshops and courses.
