'Rue Haute 275' project (Marolles)
The Marolles Sustainable District Contract unveils one of its largest projects: 'Rue Haute - Hoogstraat 275'. With this project a sustainable and shared living environment is created that combines social housing, workspaces, but also communal gardens and infrastructures.
The project includes:
- 8 social housing units
- a coworking space
- communal indoor and hanging gardens
- a new entrance to the Baron Steens school gym
- a bicycle shed and workshop
- ...
The City of Brussels, the Public Welfare Centre (CPAS-OCMW) of the City of Brussels and the Region are investing 2,450,000 euros to revitalize this space in the heart of the Marolles. Green building techniques, circular innovations and architectural innovation will lead to a new, high-quality living environment.
The works on the Rue Haute 275 project are due to start in the course of 2023.
