Coronavirus measures

The City of Brussels has taken several decisions in order to best respect the measures of the federal government in the fight against the coronavirus (Covid-19). Please note: at the Administrative Centre & liaison offices, all citizens are asked to come alone, maximum 15 minutes before the appointment time, wear a face mask (obligatory) and disinfect their hands.

 

Extension of terraces till 31 October 2021

To support restaurants and cafes (horeca), the City of Brussels may grant a temporary extension of the terrace under certain conditions. The City has extended these extensions until 31 October 2021. No extension will be granted after 31 October.

Please note: this 'Covid' terrace extension must be removed from the public space by 31 October at the latest. No extension will be granted after 31 October, in particular for reasons of town planning regulations. The annual terraces may remain installed in the same way.

To limit the financial impact of this dismantling, you can request a premium for removing the temporary terrace:

The requested extension must be located at the parking space in front of the restaurant or café, in the direct extension of the building. The form must be sent by e-mail to horeca@brucity.be:
