Tender for leasehold of the Hotel Continental

As part of the reflection on the optimization of the Hotel Continental, the Property Management of the City of Brussels (Régie Foncière) is looking for a partner to conclude a 50-year long lease for this building. Tenders must be submitted before 13 December 2021 at 4 pm.

The Hotel Continental is located at the end of the Boulevard Anspach, on the corner of the Boulevard Adolphe Max and the Boulevard Emile Jacqmain.

Purpose of the leasehold?

The aim is to develop a project that is attuned to the heritage, architectural and urban development value of the building and the surrounding context. Its strategic location at the Place De Brouckère makes it a prime location for the establishment of (a) new function(s) that will benefit from exceptional visibility and accessibility in the centre of Brussels. The building is located at the intersection of the main commercial axes and functions as a locomotive on the commercial route.

The reflection on the repurposing of the building is part of the continuation of the renovation works on the central avenues and the Place De Brouckère, with their pedestrian zone. The project will integrate the dynamics of the redevelopment of the central avenues and strengthen the interaction with the pedestrian zone of the Place De Brouckère.
