Coronavirus measures

The City of Brussels has taken several decisions in order to best respect the measures of the federal government in the fight against the coronavirus (Covid-19). Please note: at the Administrative Centre & liaison offices, all citizens are asked to come alone, maximum 15 minutes before the appointment time, wear a face mask (obligatory) and disinfect their hands.


Works at the Vismet

Works by utility companies (Sibelga, Vivaqua, Proximus) will take place at the Vismet (Quai aux Briques - Baksteenkaai) from approximately 11 January to 30 May 2021.


  • From 11 January to 16 April 2021: trenches (with cable laying), laying in sections (access to shops and homes is always guaranteed, terraces are moved as much as possible)
  • From 19 April to 30 May 2021: connections (at the choice of the trader/owner)
  • Vivaqua intervention: individual connections (1.5/day)
  • Proximus intervention (to be determined): laying of fiber optics, no connections in the near future
