From 20 to 22 June 2025, the final edition of the Border Buda festival will take place, a three-day artistic programme on the banks of the Buda Bridge, on the border between Vilvoorde, Brussels and Machelen.

This free festival imagines possible future scenarios for Buda and asks essential questions about the form and role of urban development. Titled The Woman Who Thought She Was a Planet, this edition brings together artists, architects, activists and researchers to explore new ways of seeing and thinking about the future of seemingly abandoned wastelands like Buda.

Over 3 days, visitors can discover a multidisciplinary programme at various locations, including the Fonderies Bruxelloises, Buda BXL and Firma (Vilvoorde).

70th anniversary of the Buda Bridge

The festival will also celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Buda Bridge on Saturday 21 June, from 2 pm to 4 pm. At the foot of the Buda Bridge (Digue du Canal 82 - 1130 Brussels), The Brussels ConcertBand will then perform music evoking the atmosphere of the bridge's opening in 1955.
