After Michael Disanka had finished writing his theatre text À demain ma mort, about resistance fighters in recent history in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, he wondered how come he had only talked about men. Were there no heroines in this story?
With these questions as his starting point, he set to work on a new creation: Neci padiri, which loosely translates as 'Yes, my father. Yes, my father.'
On stage, four crazy musicians create a mystic Christian orchestra that wants to find out the sex of God. The only woman on stage, irritated by the Bible's masculine vision of God, objects.
