Advisory Council of Seniors

The Advisory Council of Seniors is a consultative body, recognized as such by the city council.

On 6 May 1988, the Advisory Council of Seniors of the City of Brussels was installed in the City Hall. The council joined the already existing Consultative Committees.

Besides the proposed activities, the council has a role of opinion and suggestion on all the questions which interest seniors:

  • safety
  • transport
  • housing
  • nursing homes
  • ...

Its objective, such as clarified in its statutes (PDF, 39.10 KB), is to study needs and specific interests of the elderly and make them known to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen.
