Animal Welfare Day
On Sunday 8 October 2023, from 11 am to 4 pm, at the Farm of the Maximilian Park.
The City of Brussels is organising its third 'Animal Welfare Day'. This event, which is entirely free for all citizens, is a tribute to our pets and the wild animals we share the city with.
You can also bring donations for the animal shelters on this day.
Programme
Reception, welcome and inauguration of the photo exhibition Brussels residents with their pets (at 13h30).

- Photo booth to have a photo memory of the day
- Foodtruck to eat with family or friends
- Bar and picnic area with background music
Workshops and guided tours
- Socialisation workshop (Animal Behaviour Centre): 11h (45 minutes)
- Insect hotel making workshop: 11h30 (2h - registration required at: bienetreanimal@brucity.be)
- Farm tour: 11h30 and 14h30 (45 minutes) - it is possible to join on a continuous basis
- Educational dog walk (Animal Behaviour Centre): 12h (45 minutes)
- Dog massage (Dogood): 12h, 13h and 14h30 (60 minutes)
- Birdhouse making workshop: 14h-16h (45 minutes)
- Safety gestures workshop (Animal Behaviour Centre): 14h30 (45 minutes)
Zinneke competition
Zinneke competition for the friendliest dog and closing of the day: 15h (60 minutes - registration required at: bienetreanimal@brucity.be)
