Geoportal of the City of Brussels

The City of Brussels has a Geoportal, an innovative platform that provides citizens with easy access to news and map data in the form of applications. This portal is only available in French and Dutch.

Thanks to the Geoportal, citizens can explore their city from a new angle and discover useful information. The portal is thus part of an approach to public policy information and transparency.

This Geoportal is part of the Geographic Information System (GIS) of the City of Brussels, known as BXLGIS.

The available BXLGIS applications:

  • The City at 10 minutes: this application makes it easy to find facilities and services located less than a 10-minute walk from a given point in the city.
  • Urban projects: this application provides a detailed overview of the main urban developments underway or planned, as well as their progress.
