The City of Brussels grants a bonus to any catering establishment in its territory that offers its customers a system of deposit packaging for take-home drinks.
A merchant can propose a system specific to his or her business, expand/improve an existing system or use a reusable deposit packaging system shared by a network of independent businesses.
Whatever solution the merchant chooses, the aim is for these containers to be returned by customers after use. The cups can then be washed and re-offered for other take-home drinks. This way, avoidable waste is reused and reduced.
