The City of Brussels gives an improved version of the premium for the purchase and installation of solar water heaters to its residents.
It is possible to reduce the amount of energy bills by reducing dependence on fossil fuels (such as fuel oil or gas) and using renewable energy sources. Even in our regions, a solar water heater can provide up to 60% of the energy needed to produce domestic hot water in a home for free.
Moreover, the direct environmental benefit of such an installation translates into reduced air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.
To qualify for the municipal premium, you must meet the following conditions:
- The premium is granted to the natural or legal person who made the investment, whether they are tenant, owner or holder of a right in rem on the property of the installation and which is located on the territory of the City of Brussels.
- The amount of the municipal premium is set at 50% of the Renolution premium J8 Thermal Solar Boiler granted by the Brussels Capital Region, with a maximum of 2,000 euros.
A bonus of 10% of the amount of the premium is granted for works carried out by a social economy enterprise, a customisation enterprise or a social inclusion enterprise.
A bonus of 20% of the amount of the premium will be granted for installations in a property intended for rental (owner not domiciled in the property).
