The City of Brussels grants a premium to any business, commercial or catering (Horeca) company on its territory that decides to sign a new contract for the collection of waste with a cargo bike by a collector registered in the Brussels Capital Region.
The specific goals of this measure are:
- Reducing CO2 emissions and noise pollution in the city
- Promoting the use of sustainable means of transport
- Facilitating the separate collection and revaluation of (organic) waste by professionals

Eligible expenses are 100% of the cost of a new contract for the collection of sorted, recyclable waste exclusively by carrier bicycle, with a maximum of 400 euros per business, regardless of the pricing method.
The beneficiary must hold all required permits and authorisations to operate his business.
The collector must be registered in the Brussels Capital Region and have the necessary permits to manage waste flows as defined by European Commission Decision 2000/532/EC.
Complete the form (812.61 KB) and send it along with a copy of the invoices proving the expenses to urb.primes@brucity.be.
The application must be sent within 3 months of the expenses.
