City of Brussels signs agreement with Solar Impulse Foundation

On Wednesday 19 February 2020, the City of Brussels signed an agreement with the Solar Impulse Foundation. This foundation is committed to identifying and assessing 1,000 clean technologies that have a positive ecological and socio-economic impact.

Last year, the City of Brussels already declared a 'Climate Emergency'. To meet this challenge, the City is joining forces with the Solar Impulse Foundation, named after the solar aircraft in which Bertrand Piccard flew around the world. The cooperation will enable exchanges in the field of ecological, social, economic and technological innovation. These will provide immediate solutions for the development of a green and resilient city.

The collaboration will permit start-ups and companies in Brussels with sustainable and innovative solutions to benefit from the Solar Impulse Efficient Solution label. This will enable them to enormously increase their visibility and positive impact on the environment.
