What is it about?
Tucked in the heart of Brussels, on Place Sainte-Catherine, in the heart of a former power station, the City of Brussels' contemporary art centre is developing a committed, open-minded vision of art, with links to the city and society. Each year, it produces multidisciplinary exhibitions and projects in its various spaces with established and emerging artists from Brussels and abroad.

Set up in 2006, the centre is accessed via Rue Melsens 38, next to the entrance to the public cleaning service in the same building.
However, this access is not very visible and is often congested. To remedy this situation, the Culture Service of the City of Brussels is planning to open a new entrance from Place Sainte-Catherine, providing a more visible and welcoming entrance for visitors. The reception, ticket office, shop and exhibition entrance will now be in one place: Place Sainte-Catherine 45.
What purpose?
The aim of this project is to raise the profile of and facilitate access to the art centre, as well as developing the range of artistic and cultural activities on offer to ensure high-quality, sustainable tourism in the city centre.
