First public charging point for electric cars

On Tuesday 9 October 2018, the City of Brussels inaugurated the first public charging point for electric cars on public roads. The charging point is located at the foot of the Atomium in Laeken.

The City of Brussels is thus taking an important step towards better air quality. Today there are already 44 charging points for electric cars in the public car parks, 27 in car parks of office buildings and some in garages of hotels on the territory of the City of Brussels. This first public charging station is the start of the Brussels plan to expand the number of charging points in the city.
