Alderman of Urban Renewal, Climate, Citizen Participation and Dutch-language Affairs.
Hello, I am 35 years old and live in the centre of Brussels. I have a background in architecture. My love for the City of Brussels arose during these studies. The city has given me the freedom to develop myself. Because our city is pre-eminently a free city, where everyone can feel at home. It is this uniqueness of Brussels that brought me into politics. I look at the city as a great design task where architecture, sociology, anthropology, economics and sustainability come together.
As a dreamer and interior designer, I always look at our streets, squares and parks with a forward-looking eye. Without sparing our beautiful architectural heritage. After all, for me, a city is mainly built with people, and not just on a drawing board.
In my role as alderman of climate, urban renewal, citizen participation and Dutch-language affairs, I want to build a sustainable and future-proof city, together with all residents of Brussels.
