Heat wave plan is ready!

Since 2005, the CPAS of the City of Brussels, with the support of the municipal authorities and the police, operates a 'Heat wave plan'.

Call 0800 35 550, free of charge

Are you isolated, discriminated, unemployed, disabled or old? Or do you know a person with these difficulties? Then register at 0800 35 550 (during office hours), free of charge.

Hearing impaired people or people who cannot express themselves can fax to 02 218 32 48 or e-mail to info@lmdq.be.

The heat wave plan

As soon as the temperature exceeds 28 degrees Celsius, teams of the Community centres activate the 'Heat wave plan'. The main objective of Neighbourhood centres is to fight against isolation and solitude of weakened persons. Once the plan is activated, the team will:

  • have regular contact with the registered people
  • distribute jars and flasks
  • check the well-being of the registered persons
  • check the living conditions inside the house

Registration via the free number: 0800 35 550 (during office hours)
