What is it about?
In 2023, the Régie Foncière of the City of Brussels acquired an office building of around 2,500 m² at 183-185 avenue Louise, a few metres from rue du Bailli. This building will be converted as part of a pilot office conversion project, with the aim of creating nine homes and two public facilities: a local police station and a liaison office for the Department of Citizens' Affairs. These public facilities will play a crucial role in improving safety and local services for the district's residents.

What purpose?
This project meets the following ambitions and objectives:
- To guarantee affordable housing for all
- To support the conversion of office space into a more mixed functional and social use, and free up the interiors of blocks to ensure the quality of housing
- To work with neighbouring municipalities in the southern part of the City of Brussels to meet the needs of residents in terms of access to local facilities and services
