Geopolis presents a major exhibition by Ukrainian photographer Oleksandr Glyadyelov, a leading figure in documentary photojournalism and a direct witness to more than 35 years of Ukrainian history.
From the collapse of the Soviet Union to the ongoing war, Oleksandr Glyadyelov has tirelessly documented the political, social and human upheavals that have swept through his country. His work, exclusively in black and white, is distinguished by a radical approach: minimalist, direct and deeply human.
Recently presented in Kyiv in the midst of war, this retrospective has been met with strong public and critical acclaim. Brussels is the first foreign venue for this exhibition, which will then travel to other European capitals.
The exhibition is accompanied by public meetings, debates, school visits and educational activities.
