Coronavirus measures

The City of Brussels has taken several decisions in order to best respect the measures of the federal government in the fight against the coronavirus (Covid-19). More info: coronavirus measures by the City of Brussels.

New website of the Archives

The Archives of the City of Brussels launch a new website on 15 March 2018. The website is only available in Dutch and French.

This new website guides the visitor through questions (Who are we? What do we save?) or through themes: how to search, find a map of a building, genealogy, donate your archives, online archives, publications and valorisation.

The Online archives page allows you to consult various types of documents at home: trade almanacs, municipal bulletins, parish registers (coordinated by the State Archives) and the guestbooks of the City Hall.

Search via online catalog

What applies from 15 March is that the search for an archive document, an iconographic document or a book from the Archives of the City of Brussels only takes place through an online catalog. All funds and collections are included.
