Culture tickets for over-65s

Do you like theatre, dance or music? If you are a resident of Brussels aged 65 or over, the City of Brussels will give you 2 tickets for the show of your choice from a list of cultural partners. You must submit your application before 15 September 2025.

There will also be a presentation on Tuesday 9 September 2025, from 2 pm to 4:45 pm, in the Gothic Hall of the City Hall of Brussels. The different programmes will be presented there. 

What are culture tickets?

Every year, the City of Brussels offers free tickets to its senior citizens to see a show at one of around ten leading cultural partners:

Please note: for the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie it is only one performance: on Saturday 13 June 2026 at 2 pm, the opera 'Tosca'.

All seniors are entitled to one coupon that is valid for two people for 1 show at 1 place of their choice, as long as there are places available.

This initiative is in addition to the permanent senior discounts already on offer at the cultural venues of the City.

  • Your main residence must be located within the City of Brussels (1000 - 1020 - 1120 - 1130)
  • You must be at least 65 years of age

Come to the programme presentations:

To help you choose the show of your choice, a presentation of the different programmes will be held on Tuesday 9 September 2025, from 2 pm to 4:45 pm, in the Gothic Hall of the City Hall. Admission is free.

Get your coupon: 

  • Fill in the reply coupon (also available in paper format after the programme presentation on 9 September 2025)
  • Return the completed reply coupon with a copy of your identity card before 15 September 2025:

Book your seats:

Once you have received confirmation of your coupon, you must book your tickets directly with the chosen cultural venue. When you receive confirmation of your voucher, you will be given all the information you need to take this final step.

Applications will be centralised and processed in order of arrival (date of postmark or date of receipt of e-mail).

The Culture Service will do its best to respond to requests and will contact each person (by e-mail or post) to confirm the chosen venue according to preference and availability.
