BXL Resist Festival is more than just a festival. It is a call to action. A manifesto. An open declaration to the world. A label that loud and clear embodies the identity of Brussels: diverse, open, creative, proud,... and resilient.

We live in an increasingly polarised world, with a growing rhetoric that sows division. Brussels is choosing a different path: one of connection, inclusion and living together. Diversity is no longer merely celebrated: it is defended, protected and claimed.

Based on this vision, the Divercity festival is evolving into the BXL Resist Festival. A committed, but above all festive event that reminds us that you can also resist with joy, energy and music.

A powerful and vibrant musical programme

This year, the BXL Resist Festival welcomes a line-up of artists who will get the Place de la Bourse dancing:

  • Uzi Freyja
  • Davinhor
  • Zonmai
  • ANJEES G.G
  • Yasmine
  • Lesley

The 'Tremplin Jeunes' workshop supports young artists under the age of 20 in their musical journey through the 'Origine Lab' project. This unique programme is aimed at those who have not yet released music on platforms and have never performed on stage in a concert hall.

These young people are therefore given the chance to take to the stage and perform for the audience at the BXL Resist Festival. An essential springboard for promoting emerging talent in Brussels.

For the first time, the City of Brussels is launching an official livestream of the festival, in collaboration with content creators Loup Guns, Jeune Kija, Manu le Vrai and La Cagoule Rose.

A proper recording studio will be set up at the Bourse to follow the event live. On the programme:

  • Artist interviews
  • Events
  • Meetings with associations and elected representatives
  • Exclusive content

Everything will be broadcast on Twitch, Instagram and TikTok.

Six associations will be present on the Place de la Bourse. Their mission: to offer interactive awareness-raising activities on equality, anti-discrimination and living together.

Entertainment, participatory tools, workshops,... all opportunities to engage in dialogue with the public and enrich collective reflection. The sale of products is not permitted.

Because Brussels is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world, home to over 180 nationalities. Because openness to others, cultural diversity and the fight against all forms of discrimination are part of its DNA.

Because, unlike many other major European cities, the far right remains a marginal phenomenon here - and that is something to be proud of.

BXL Resist Festival means defending these values.
Celebrating the best of Brussels.
Embracing diversity as a collective strength.
And above all: standing together in resistance in a fun atmosphere.
