Coronavirus measures

The City of Brussels has taken several decisions in order to best respect the measures of the federal government in the fight against the coronavirus (Covid-19). More info: coronavirus measures by the City of Brussels. Please note: at the Administrative Centre & liaison offices, all citizens are asked to come alone, maximum 15 minutes before the appointment time, wear a face mask (obligatory) and disinfect their hands.

Download the 112 BE app!

The 112 BE smartphone application makes it easier to call the emergency services (fire brigade, police, ambulance). Why use it?

Unlike calls to 112 or 101, the 112 BE app has the following advantages:

  • You no longer need to remember emergency numbers
  • The emergency services can find you more easily (the app gives your location to the emergency centre)
  • The emergency centre can activate the chat function if the operator does not understand you
  • The operator automatically receives certain medical information such as a heart problem, allergies, epilepsy, diabetes (if you have entered it beforehand)

Calling with the 112 BE app is, just like with the emergency numbers, completely free. The app only works in Belgium. More info:
