Masui project - Construction of housing

What is it about?

This project is part of the Héliport-Antwerpen sustainable district contract.

Masui project - Construction of housing

The CPAS is planning to build intergenerational accommodation with community facilities on the ground floor, with an area dedicated to 'community sharing'. This project will take the place of a building currently used to store tyres.

The grouped housing development will comprise 11 homes:

  • 8 flats for single-parent families (2 two-bedroom flats, 3 three-bedroom flats and 3 four-bedroom flats)
  • 3 one-bedroom flats adapted to the needs of the elderly

A community space, including a local launderette and a shared garden, will also be created.

The creation of the garden will allow a large part of the plot to be desilted, while providing a visual link and open access to the Parc de la Senne.

What purpose?

This project meets the following ambitions and objectives:

  • Guaranteeing affordable housing for everyone
  • Increasing the proportion of 3-bedroom+ homes in the Brussels housing stock aimed at families
  • Supporting a regional obligation establishing a minimum percentage of social housing and similar units per municipality
  • Supporting local businesses
