Are you a worker from a country outside the European Union and have you obtained a single permit? This procedure allows you to register with the municipality in order to legally stay and work in Belgium.
The single permit combines into one card:
- a work permit
- a residence permit
The first registration concerns nationals of a country outside the European Union who come to Belgium to work and settle for more than 90 days and who hold a D B34 visa.
- Be a national of a country outside the European Union
- Reside within the territory of the City of Brussels
- Work and settle for more than 90 days
- Hold a valid D B34 visa (single permit)
1. Submit your application via IRISbox

- Complete the required information
- Upload the required documents
- Submit your application
2. Attend your appointment
After reviewing your application, the City will schedule an appointment for you.
Bring all required documents to the appointment in order to receive Annex 49, which confirms your application for registration.
3. Residence check
A residence check is carried out by the police to verify your address.
4. Apply for your A residence card
If the check is positive, you will receive a second appointment to apply for your A residence card.
- Valid national passport
- Valid D B34 visa
- Recent passport photo (maximum 6 months) compliant with External siteICAO standards
