Swimming pools
The City of Brussels has 3 public swimming pools: the swimming pool of the Centre, the swimming pool of Laeken and the swimming pool of Neder-Over-Heembeek.
Measures for the public
Booking is required. Swimmers who have not reserved, cannot access the pool. The reservation of a swimming session (for swimmers without a subscription) takes effect after online payment. You are invited to present your voucher at the box office for verification and validation. The reserved session will only be refunded in the event of cancellation 24 hours in advance. All customers must arrive at the time of their reserved time slot (the box office is open for 15 minutes during each slot - after this time, access is no longer allowed).
You can book online (up to 1 week in advance with registration opening every Wednesday evening for the following week).

Special health measures to combat Covid-19 are in force:
- This reservation makes it possible, on the one hand, to ensure compliance with sanitary and hygienic measures and, on the other hand, to manage flows by avoiding meetings both at the entrance and within the infrastructure.
- Swimming time is limited to a maximum of 60 minutes per session.
- The dressing rooms and lockers are accessible. They are immediately disinfected after each use.
- Payment is now possible electronically and without contact at the cash registers of the swimming pools
- The reservation of a swimming session (for non-subscribers) will be effective after online payment.
To ensure compliance with these rules as much as possible, all employees of the 'Bains de Bruxelles' association have followed specific training (first aid, cleaning and disinfection) to welcome the inhabitants of Brussels in the most hygienic and safe conditions.
Clubs, courses and schools
The swimming pools are accessible to schools, clubs and courses according to the sanitary measures included in the swimming pool protocol (PDF, 219.73 KB) in force.
Social showers at the Baths of the Centre
The social showers are organized in periods of 45 minutes from Tuesday to Saturday:

Obligations and prohibitions
- children under 10 years must be accompanied by an adult (the children are under the supervision of this person)
- wearing a bathing cap is mandatory
- only the classic bathing suit is allowed: short slip/boxer for men and swimsuit/bikini for women
- a bermuda, short, long boxer, pareo, skirt, burkini, combination/shorty are forbidden

The 'return' part of the large pool is not accessible to the public during school periods on the following days: Wednesday from 5 pm to 7:30 pm, Thursday from 4:20 pm to 5 pm, Friday from 4 pm to 5 pm, Saturday from noon to 5 pm.

The small swimming pool is not accessible during school periods on Monday from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm and Wednesday from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
The maximum capacity of the small pool is 9 swimmers (1 swimmer per 10m2), the maximum capacity of the main pool is 6 swimmers per lane allocated to private customers.
Individual lockers are available. A 2 euro coin is required to close the locker.

If you want to benefit from the rate for people of Brussels, you must show your ID card or another official document.

When entering the swimming pool, people must wear classic swimwear, which is only intended for swimming.
Shorts, bermudas, pareos, skirts, diving suits/shorties and burkinis are strictly prohibited.
