The City to Ocean association is launching the 'Adopt a waste bumper' campaign, together with the Port of Brussels. These waste bumpers along the canal can stop large quantities of waste before they blow into the water and reach the sea.
Anyone can invest from 29 euros in one or several waste bumpers to make their installation possible. Each waste bumper receives a unique and personal serial number linked to the donor, and donations are eligible for a tax reduction.
